Gary Busey may not be the most mainstream actor in the world.

But he may end up being the next Joe Exotic.

According to People.com, the 75 year-old character actor will be featured in a brand new show for Amazon.

And not just any show…

It’s a Courtroom TV show, à la The People’s Court or Judge Judy.

The official press release is just as wild as the trailer:

“Is Gary Busey a real judge?  Absolutely not. Does he know anything about pet law? Probably not. Can he look into your soul and suss out your spirit animal while delivering a verdict with a trademark Buseyism? You bet your sweet ass (the donkey kind).”

I don’t… what?

The press release continues:

“Gary Busey has been preparing for this job his entire life. Sure, he starred in Point Break and Lethal Weapon, but did any of his blockbuster films require him to determine whether a cat should have a Viking funeral? Not until now. He has been anointed a Pet Judge by the State of California and he is about to dish out some serious PET JUSTICE.”

Even more perplexingly, there’s a 2nd trailer.

This trailer leaves far more questions than it gives answers.

For how long has this show been in development?

Are these real people with real disputes?

If he makes a ruling… is it actually legally binding?

Why is Busey making animal noises?

How are his teeth so white?

I HAVE SO MANY MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS.

Comedians Mike E. Winfield and Ian Abramson will be acting as courtroom bailiff and exit-interviewer, respectively.

The whole thing is obviously tongue-in-cheek, but WOW.

Pet Judge looks like it’s going to be a LOT.

I guess we’ll find out when it comes out May 25th on Amazon Prime
