Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance at the Met Gala, revealing that he attended because he’s been working on clothing for his next album release.

“For this next album campaign I’m going into, we’re sort of doing some clothes for videos and that’s when the conversation came up,” Ed says. “I went in for a fitting and she was just like, ‘Come to the Met.’”

For his Met outfit, he collaborated with designer Stella McCartney on a baby blue tuxedo inspired by his eyes.

Despite not planning to release music until 2024, Ed is already planning his video outfits.
