People just can’t get enough of hard seltzer. In fact, they love it so much that it’s caused a nationwide shortage for the top hard seltzer brand, White Claw.

Mark Anthony Brands, which is the same company that created Mike’s Hard Lemonade DID NOT expect White Claw to be so popular.

In fact, the hard seltzers were launched back in 2016. This year they became more well-known.

The sales for the drink jumped to a high 283% in July making over $327 million. There’s tons of hard seltzers out on the market at the moment, but White Claw makes up about 61% of those sales.

The drinks won’t be going away for good anytime soon. A spokesperson for the company said,

“We are working around the clock to increase supply given the rapid growth in customer demand.”

So don’t worry, they’ll be making more hard seltzers soon.

These drinks are especially popular in the Midwest.

The top 10 states that were talking about White Claw this summer were:

  1. Ohio
  2. Missouri
  3. Tennessee
  4. Iowa
  5. West Virginia
  6. Delaware
  7. Kentucky
  8. Illinois
  9. Wisconsin
  10. Indiana
