VIDEO: Teen Awaiting Transplant Is Gifted A Signed Ed Sheeran Guitar!
Mix 106 hosted the first ever Mix 106 Toy Drive benefiting Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital during the holidays! To thank those who donated, we had raffle prizes to give away. One of those prizes was a signed Ed Sheeran guitar (pictured below). Colin James, a nurse at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital won the signed Ed Sheeran guitar from Mix 106. James was happy to win the guitar, but did not see himself playing it… Ed’s message on the guitar reads “Play! Don’t Display!” James felt inspired to donate the guitar to the hospital’s music therapy program. Rebekah Martin, Music Specialty Therapist at the hospital found the perfect person to gift the guitar to. That person is 15-year-old Kayano Lizardo-Bristow of Yuba City. He is a kidney patient at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and he happens to be a huge Ed Sheeran fan with a passion for music. NBC Bay Area did a great story about how much he loves his new guitar. Watch the video here. What a great first guitar to have! Thank you for supporting the Mix 106 Toy Drive!
