It’s been almost exactly a year since Toys R Us closed its doors. Now, they are ready for a comeback.

E-commerce site, Bloomberg is reporting that half dozen Toys R Us stores could be opening later this year, just in time for holiday shopping.

CEO and president of Tru Kids Inc., Richard Barry has been making plans and pitches to toymakers to revive the beloved toy store.

The stores will be smaller than previous ones – this time covering 10,000 square feet rather than 30,000. Although the place is smaller, there will be more interactive features for kids and shoppers alike.

No news yet on where the stores will re-open in the United States, but we’ll be sure to update you once we know.

Do you still take the kids shopping at toy stores or do you do all the toy shopping online?
