Mornings can be rough.

We have to be up early, get ready for the day, be out as soon as possible to try and beat traffic get to work on time and so fourth.

Everyone has a different morning routine that may help their mornings feel a little better.

There’s a new survey that recently came out that asked 2,000 Americans what they did and needed in order to have a “perfect morning.” Looks like “sleeping in” and “skipping work” didn’t make the cut.

According to the survey here are the top nine things you need to have in order to have that perfect morning:

  1. Coffee
  2. A good breakfast
  3. Exercise
  4. Meditation
  5. Watching the news
  6. Reading the news
  7. Listening to your favorite radio station / podcast
  8. Drinking a glass of juice or smoothie
  9. Doing yoga
