There’s been a lot of talk about the movie “Blonde” starring Ana de Armas, and it appears they have done their best to honor the actress in the filming process. Ana de Armas said she and the crew members left a card on Marilyn Monroe’s grave on the first day of production, “We were asking for permission in a way. Everyone felt a huge responsibility.” She also stated, “We were very aware of the side of the story we were going to tell, the story of Norma Jeane,  the person behind this character, Marilyn Monroe.  Who was she really?”

We’re about to find out who Norma Jeane was (in this interpretation) as “Blonde” arrives on Netflix Friday.  It’s also Netflix’s first NC-17 rated movie.
