The Fremont Police Department Will Start Using Teslas As Patrol Cars

There is about to be even more Teslas on the road in Fremont. Yesterday, the Fremont Police Department announced a pilot program where they will be replacing some of their older patrol cars with the 2014 Tesla Model S. The police department’s current fleet is made up of 2007 Dodge Chargers – they are due to be replaced. The Teslas will help the City Of Fremont reaching their goal of reducing emissions by 25% by the year 2020. With the Tesla factory sitting in Fremont, this makes total sense!
