Taylor Swift Says She’s Banned From Playing Her Old Songs At The AMAs
The drama with Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun over her old music isn’t over.
In fact, it’s escalating AGAIN.
Last night, Taylor Swift shared an open letter to Scooter and her fans saying that she didn’t know what else to do because Scooter is STOPPING her from playing her old music during the American Music Awards.
Taylor said she was planning to sing a medley of her older hits, but she’s being blocked from doing so.
In the letter, so also mentioned that she’s been working on a documentary with Netflix, but it’s all up in the air for now because Scooter won’t allow her old songs to be cleared for it.
Apparently the only way that Taylor can play her old music is if she agrees to NOT re-record her previous songs. But she declined and said that won’t happen and that she’s looking forward to re-recording her old records.
In her letter she shared this strong statement:
“The message being sent to me is very clear. Basically, be a good little girl and shut up, or you’ll be punished. This is WRONG. Neither of these men had a hand in the writing of those songs.”
Swifites are already backing Taylor up with an online petition that just surfaced last night, which has now gained over 40,000 signatures.
