A free concert in Downtown San Jose?

The highly anticipated NCAA College Football Championship is here.
And as excited as everyone is for the games…
They’re at least 1000% more excited for the free concert series.
The complete AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! lineup:
- Friday, January 4th: Alessia Cara, Brynn Elliott, Alex Aiono
- Saturday, January 5th: Leon Bridges, Logic, Jay Rock
- Sunday, January 6th: Ellie Goulding, OneRepublic, The Regrettes
Each show will be free (yay!) at Discovery Meadow Park downtown…
And will run between 6 and 11pm each night.
However, getting there will be a different story.
SJDA’s official website listed the closures for the weekend, and it looks like many streets surrounding the venue will be closed for events.
Some of the closures:
Market around Plaza De Ceasar Chavez will be closed through Tuesday (1/8).
Northbound 87’s ramp to San Carlos will be closed Friday (1/4) through Monday(1/7).
Also closed through the weekend, San Carlos between Market and Woz, Almaden between Park and Woz…
And there’s a LOT more.

Your best bet for getting Downtown for the concerts?
Take VTA to the Convention Center Station and walk from there.
You’re definitely not going to want to Uber or Lyft.
They’ll get stuck in the same traffic as everyone else.
