Steve Harvey may be leaving his talk show because of Kelly Clarkson
Steve Harvey has one of the biggest daytime talk shows ever.
But it might not be around much longer.
And it might be Kelly Clarkson’s fault.

According to PopCulture.com, Harvey hinted as much during an interview at the Variety Entertainment Summit.
The interviewer asked Steve if he was planning to stay at NBCU.
His response was pretty revealing:

“I thought I was… until… they made an announcement a couple weeks ago that um… they wanted to uh… give Kelly Clarkson the owned-and-operated NBC networks — that’s my time slot.”
Granted, Steve said he wasn’t sure if the slot had been sold yet.
But was put out that they hadn’t come to him about it.
He continued:
“I’m just an old school guy, and I just thought that you’re supposed to just talk to people and just go, ‘Look, you’ve been good business for us. This is what we’re thinking of doing, are you OK with that?’ No, you just don’t put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m just going to make this move right here,’ because it’s crazy.”
PopCulture.com notes that Harvey’s contract with NBC continues into the 2019 season.
So while nothing has yet been announced…
Harvey’s mood suggests his days as a host may be numbered.
