Shawn Mendes Leads the Juno Awards With Six Nominations!

The nominees have been announced for the 2019 Juno Awards (Canada’s equivalent of the Grammy’s) and finally Shawn Mendes is getting some love!  He received more nominations than anyone, with a total of six!   Shawn is nominated in the categories of fan choice, single, artist, songwriter, and pop album.  The Weeknd will be up against Shawn in four of those categories including fan choice, single, album and artist.

This could be the year Shawn wins some awards as he has been “snubbed” many times by the Grammy’s.  But this year he could win the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, and Song of the Year (In My Blood.)

Canada’s biggest night in music will be hosted by Sarah McLachlan, and will air on CBS Sunday March 17th.
