The actor made famous by the Twilight and Harry Potter film franchises was just offered the role of a lifetime.
Or a nightmare, depending on the internet’s reaction.

According to Variety, Pattinson will be the next Batman.
Talks are still ongoing, and he hasn’t yet signed any paperwork.
But he’s the studio favorite for the role.
And look.
Say what you will about the Twilight series of films.
But Robert’s been incredibly busy since the films wrapped in 2012.
And, honestly. He’s not a bad actor at all.
In fact, he’s received nothing but critical acclaim since Twilight.
He’s got the darkness down…
He’s got the playboy look down…
So he’ll probably be pretty excellent in the film.
Also, it’s being written by Matt Reeves.
Who fronted the critically-acclaimed Dawn of and War For the Planet of the Apes films.
He also directed 2008’s Cloverfield and the awesome Let the Right One In remake Let Me In.
So honestly? There’s plenty of cause to be excited about this.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Warner Bros can make it work.
