Who knew that catching a movie at your local theater can count as light exercise?
A new study conducted in London found that going to the movies is as good for your heart as it is going to the gym.
During the study, researchers hooked 50 people with bio-metric sensors while a showing of the live-action version of “Aladdin.”
These sensors found that the audience had their heart rates increase between 40 and 80 percent during 45 minutes of the movie.
This heart rate increase counts as “light exercise.” Which is similar to taking a walk and even gardening.
