It may be Matthew McConaughey’s 50th Birthday today, but he wasn’t out celebrating early.
Instead he was helping prep, cook and deliver meals for firefighters and first responders who were battling the wildfires in SoCal.
Matthew teamed up with his Bourbon brand, Wild Turkey and Operation BBQ Relief to share about 800 meals and deliver them to more than 20 fire stations in the area.
They also made 800 more meals for those in local homeless shelters.
Matthew stated,
“Being able to provide meals to the men and women who put themselves on the line is an honor. We are grateful to be here today to say thank you, shine a light on their unwavering conviction, and hopefully inspire others to get involved and help in their own communities.”
Way to go Matthew!
