You are not alone if you are ready for some sunshine! It has been an unusually cold and rainy winter here in the Bay Area. In fact, it has been so rainy that the Bay Area has seen more rainy days than Portland and Seattle! How does that even happen? It turns out El Nino is the phenomenon bringing so many storms Northern California. El Nino is the reason why the Bay Area has seen more rain than our neighbors to the north. Mike Nico from ABC 7 shared this chart comparing the rainfall here in the Bay Area to the Pacific Northwest.
