Do You “Like” Your Own Instagram Posts? Mariah Carey Does

For some reason, it is an unspoken rule in social media that you are not allowed to like your own posts. Some Mariah Carey fans noticed that she recently has been “liking” a lot of her own posts on Instagram. What is so wrong with that? Mariah obviously thought she had to explain herself – she Tweeted that her son is the culprit:
Ummmm… I think Rocky’s been liking my own insta pics .. oh dear.. trying to rectify this!! lol -yikes!

Even if Mariah Carey did like all of her own posts, should it even matter? What’s wrong with being confident?
