Cardi B deletes her Instagram following Grammy win
Cardi B doesn’t have to dance.
She makes money moves.
But after her landmark win at the Grammys…
She may have had to take a step back from social media.

According to CNN, Cardi B was the first female to ever win the “Best Rap Album” award at the Grammys.
Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with her win.
Multiple publications (and a slew of internet “music experts”) took to the web to voice their frustration with the Recording Academy’s obvious misunderstanding of Hip Hop.
Many even took it out on Cardi herself.
She responded, in true Cardi fashion, with a fiery Instagram story.
“It’s not my style to put other people down to uplift somebody else”
She’s referring to the incident involving BET dragging Nicki Minaj for losing to Cardi in a now deleted tweet:

Cardi continued:
“I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed… Now this year’s a (expletive) problem?”
She ranted about how difficult it was for her to work on her album, amidst criticism, pregnancy sickness, and other objections.
And honestly? She’s got a point.
Whether or not you agree that she should have won the Grammy for Best Rap Album is beside the point.
She worked hard on Invasion of Privacy.
And being a jerk to her online is just plain rude.
Following the now-deleted story, Cardi deactivated her Instagram account.
Hopefully she’ll be back!
