After 18 years, Apple has decided to kill off its iconic media player, iTunes.

During the Worldwide Developers Conference, CEO Tim Cook announced that the company would be getting rid of iTunes which was launched back in 2001.

The company is planning to move forward with three new desktop apps that will replace iTunes. You will now be seeing separate apps for Music, TV and Podcasts.

No news yet on what will happen to the iTunes store.
